L. Don Ōkami – Banjo Machine Music [LP, CD]

In Don’s own words:

This project came about somewhat by accident. I was planning to lay down a harmonium drone, then build up a banjo loop and improvise over it, but the banjo feedback sounded so good, and manipulatable, that I decided to record it too before laying down some tracks with regular and fretless banjo. When respected musician friends liked it, the idea of turning this into a group remix effort was born. I hope you’ll enjoy it. Thanks to Tim, Pekko, Tero, Scott (Dr. Space) and Ilkka (Tethering) for contributing to this project, Arso for the artwork, Pekko again for the liner notes, and Timo from Ikuisuus for releasing the album.
